Palm oil – Gapki says ‘no’

The Indonesian Palm Oil Association has opposed the government’s plan to prolong a two-year forest moratorium due  to end in May, saying that such an extension would only hamper the expansion of the country’s palm oil sector.

Worrying news for the tigers whose habitat is destroyed in the processes when forests are cleared for mass oil palm plantations.
