MYCAT Citizen Action for Tigers focus on engaging with the local community to protect an 11km wildlife corridor, stretching between Taman Negara border and the Main Range in Kuala Lipis district, Pahang.  The area is prime target for poachers, over the years the situation here has worsened as there are simply not enough Government rangers to protect the entire area.

This is just a selection of photos, you can see the rest of the gallery and find out more about MYCAT on their Facebook page.  MYCAT pull together a community, raising awareness and protecting the tigers habitat.  They do this with their Citizen Action walks.  Taking volunteers deep into the forest – they clear rubbish, snares and  other signs of poachers, as well as monitoring wildlife.

We’ve put together a gallery from their most recent walk. These walks couldn’t have gone ahead without you, the gallery of conservation photos below are a beautiful selection highlighting the beautiful biodiversity of the area.  Signs of bears, pollution from Monsanto, signs of illegal logging and road developments and a couple got engaged after meeting on one of these walks!
