Photos from Global Tiger Day 2015
Global Tiger Day was established in 2010 at the St Petersburg Tiger Summit when tiger range countries declared their aim to double wild tiger numbers by 2022.
Global Tiger Day is an opportunity to raise funds for wild tiger conservation and importantly build awareness of the issues effecting their survival.
This year’s activities were bigger and better than ever before, with many zoos around the world taking part in 21st Century Tiger’s fundraising and awareness campaign.
We’d like to thank all zoo staff – keepers, education departments, managers, volunteers – everyone who pulled together to make Global Tiger Day 2015 extra special.
